Starting 2022 with a Monthly Planner from Thelazeco- Sweet Bunny

As the New Year approaches, it is time to prepare for the New Year by getting calendars and planners. I always look forward to getting a new planner because the fresh, clean new pages make me feel like I have a clean slate, a fresh start full of hope for a meaningful year.

There are many assortments of Planners available these days sometimes, one may question which is really the best. It is not a matter of the best but rather which one would be most suitable for you personally. I have gone through many planners over the years and have always stopped using them halfway, leaving many wasted pages.

How to pick the perfect planner that is best for you- You have to experiment and have the discipline to use one. There is no point in writing everything down and not referring to it. After using a planner a couple of times, you will find your style. In my case, I prefer a monthly page. I like writing the main event of the day and listing down tasks that need to be done in a to-do list quickly and snappy.

Questions you should ask yourself before purchasing a planner –
  • Do you need a space to keep track of events and appointments?
  • Would you prefer to plan in a weekly or monthly format?
  • Do you need something portable to bring or just one you like to keep at home?
  • Would you like a colourful planner with stickers or a minimalist planner?

After watching the Motel Makeover on Netflix, I caught the craze for terrazzo patterns, so I searched on Shoppe for one; I was glad I did so because my search led me to find Thelazeco customised planners.

The A5 planner created by Thelazeco is precisely what I needed. I opted to only have the monthly pages for a monthly overview of the year. I plan to bring this compact planner with me as it is tight and light. Choosing a layout that matches your style is essential as you would be more comfortable using your planner and more likely to continue to use it for the whole year.

I like how well thought and put together this hand-stitched booklet-styled planner is.
It has a Soft Cover made with 250gsm Gloss Cardstock, and the inner pages are text paper with 100gsm Off-White Paper which is clearly printed and neatly designed.

What is truly unique about it is it is customisable. You can build your very own planner, the options are to have monthly and weekly pages, a Monthly planner 2022 with Singapore Holidays indicated, a notebook grid, notebook lined.

Another excellent customisation the store offers is printing your name on the cover, which is a very nice touch if you plan to give the planner a gift. A plastic cover can also be purchased to protect your planner from bending or getting dirty.

Unique Singapore Sticker - Fei Mao Liulian/ Fat Cat Durian | RussNing - Sweet bunny

I used to collect stickers back in Primary School. Would get angry when my younger sister traded my “pretty” stickers for "ugly” common ones. I just started using Tic ock lately and I love the exposure to many small businesses one that really caught my eye was Fei Mao LiuLian/Fat Cat Durian it somehow rekindled my love for stickers. As an adult stickers can be used to decorate almost anything, in my case I will be using them to different shade my mug from others in the office. Everyone is given the same corporate mug so adding an adorable sticker would help me different shade my mug from others.

Personally, I do like eating durians but I understand that they can be pungent to others, It is an occasional treat I indulge in.

Durian Stickers Illustrations – Never have I seen the king of fruits being depicted in such an adorable way, the owners of Fei Mao LiuLian/Fat Cat Durian are avid fans of the fruit and have a vast knowledge about the different types of Durian and share many fun facts on their Instagram and don’t get me started about the adorable character that they have come up with I found them very original and stunning.

I order 2 stickers from them and they have graciously given me an extra one. I am thrilled to have 3 out of 4 of the Fei Mao Sticker Design. I really like the yellow cat position in the Durian where the fruit should be its genius! I really like its Cheerful personality. It represents the Mao Shan Wang/ Cat On Mountain Top Durian a bittersweet cream durian that is sometimes used to make durian cakes. I like the quality of the stickers, semi-glossy and scratch proof. I also like the packaging as there is a story about each character and the thank you card was a lovely touch as well.

I have started a page on my blog to help budding artists like Fei Mao LiuLian/Fat Cat Durian gain exposure so they can get the support to continue creating many more beautiful and creative illustrations. As in all my blogpost for artists, I invited them to write an introduction about themselves.

Our small art & craft business is called Fei Mao Liulian (肥猫榴莲). Fei Mao Liulian (FML) directly translates to "Fat Cat Durian" in mandarin.

As Durian lovers, we take inspiration from the different types of Durian to design our artwork. We are starting off with 3 main characters – Fei Mao (a chubby cat inspired by the Mao Shan Wang durian), Boo (a carefree panda inspired by the Green Bamboo durian) and Phoebe (a grumpy chick inspired by the Golden Phoenix durian).

We'll be launching a series of FML products in the near future as well as introduce new characters, so do keep a lookout for them 😀 👉🏻 Instagram
Thank you for your kind support

I wish them every success do lend them your support and tell your family and friends about them.

Getting Stationery During Covid-19 - Sweet Bunny

When you are working at home and have run out of stationery either for yourself or for your kids and all the shops had to shut their door during this quarantine season.

My scotch tape holder came apart and I had run out of tape while packing a parcel for a friend, normally I would pop by the popular bookstore or a hardware shop to make a purchase but they were either closed or didn't carry what I needed.

Blast... Back to the world wide web, I went...

The bigger office suppliers like Deskright, homenoffice, stationery world which all have a minimum order from $150.00 to $200.00. I didn't have that many items to purchase so I did a deeper search for more vendors.

Places to purchase basic stationery on an urgent basis during Covid19 -  All our supermarkets are open and if you are lucky enough to live near a hypermart that would be fantastic. They carry a small range of stationery such as A4 papers, pens, highlighters, tapes, notebooks, correction tape and files. Prime Supermarket even for the small outlets has a stationery corner, I managed to grab a pack of correction tape from there not my usual brand but as long as it serves it the purpose it would do for now. Some branches of Seven Elevens also have a small shelf of stationery, I saw pen knives, tape and a whole lot of pens on display during my last trip to you.

If you are able to wait for a week or so for your stationery supplies - I got my tape dispenser on Lazada for about $10 inclusive of a box of 8 rolls of 18 x 25mm tape and delivery, totally worth it. I always select local sellers to minimise the waiting time. Ezbuy and Qoo10 are also good options. They do charge a delivery fee but at times like these, it is worth pumping back some money back into the economy, providing jobs for our couriers and supporting local businesses.

Go green by purchasing second-hand stationery - If want to save the earth by reusing someone's unwanted stationery, you could make your purchase on Carousell. Yes, it is base on trust on how well the items would work but if the price is right and the seller has proved to be trust-worthy via their reviews why not? There are new items people sell off too, some items which were purchased on impulse.

Purchase toners & Printer Ink  - A colleague of mine had run out of printers toner and required it within the week. I made an order via Hachi-tech for her, Hachi-tech is the online Challenger store, trustworthy and they provide you with an official invoice so you may claim from your office petty cash once we all return to the office. You also earn points if you are a challenger member, a nice perk.

I hope this post wasn't frivolous, to me stationery are essential items.
